This 20 km long coast line of the Kalbarri National Park is made of tumblagooda sandstone. 130 Millionen years ago the Murchison River start to brought solid step by step to the ocean ground and the respective layers hardened into solid stone due to the weight. 60 Millionen years ago the growing ground reached a thickness of 3 km volcanism raised the ground to the water surface and beyond.

Since then, the high waves have crashed into the coastal wall and taken parts with them. This is how the natural bridge was created and it will not be the last one to live.

At the top of the cliff line growing wild flowers that only occur here in Western Australia. Plants you haven't seen before, such as the Murchison Rose. Have fun with these miracles.
